- Certified as an Exemplary SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) School 
- Designated by Chicago Public Schools as a STEAM School 
- Student attainment in reading is at the 83rd percentile school wide. 
- Student growth in reading is at the 81st percentile school wide. 
- Student attainment in math is at the 73rd percentile school wide. 
- 54 students participated in the cast and crew of our annual musical in 2018-19 
- 100% of students who took the 8th Grade Algebra exam passed in 2018 
- 188 students are in the three Peterson choirs from 3rd to 8th grade 
- Peterson Intermediate Choir was the only AA-level choir that received “Honors Superior” - the highest possible rating at the CPS Elementary Choral Festival in 2019
